Hi, as you probably know I took 3 of the grandkids to Easington, we got there around 11.30 on sunday morning. unpacked, and got ready for a session on the beach just a 2 min walk from the caravan. Well, it was disaster, the red weed was horrendous, the lines were dragged from left to right within minutes, and couldnt hold bottom. The result was one Turbot to conner, around the half pound mark. Monday, we tried again, the weed and crabs brought about a complete blank for us both, we tried both tides without success. Tuesday, the weed had cleared a bit, but the crabs were out for brekky, end result, one smoothound for conner measuring 70cms the jammy little toad. from then on it was blankety blank. that was it for us, Caleb the youngest at 11 months was unwell, this started on monday, and he created something alarming, this resulted in us all getting very little sleep, so by wednesday morning we were shattered, caleb was no better so we decided to call it a draw and come home 3 days early. But, we did have a good time fishing while it lasted, and it made a nice change to just walk out each day and fish without a long drive each way. Cheers...Mick
