Fished high tide last night at Fairhaven (stannah car park) the was quite a few fishing there good venue if you want to fish next to your car now you cant access the gynn wall i expect it to get bust down there.There were quite a few fish caught mainly flonder there was an eel and 1 bass caught.Met Rains there nice guy he was gutted that his bass was 2cm under being a taker especially as it was his first oh did i mention i blanked again Never mind theres always next time

Thanks for the report Dave even though you blanked. Like you say Fairhaven is an easy venue to fish. A tip for you, take some garden worms with you next time you fish there especially after a good rainfall, you will be surprised. I fished the Ribble today myself and garden worm was the bait that was catching the fish.

Cheers for the report Dave I have no option but to fish the easy venues now as I find distance walking nigh on impossible.

one of the guys i fished with said that thats the most he'd ever seen fishing there he fishes there regular as he only lives 10 mins away.if you go at night theres a police patrol to stop the doggers so be warned the doggers amongst us

ohhh that bass, it was beautiful. I know in my heart it wanted to be free. Hopefully it will breed more and i can catch more bass.  |

bass off fairhaven.......thats a new one to me, never fished it at high tide, always go at low......will have to give it a go  |

we fished at the top end of the car park and rains was fishing about 20-30 yrd past the steps to the beach i was told that its best to fish at night on any tide above 9 meters
