Hey all,
Trying to plan a trip on the 1st of August if the weather is half decent - main target is the bream, anyone know of any decent places to have a bash?
Thanks in advance

Hi Dan. Lots of bream caught lately at the mouth of the River Hamble, either side but possibly Warsash better. Tight lines mate. |

Hello mate,
You can get some nice size bream off the milford shingle bank or if your just after catching a bream calshot beach will produce but nothing big best bait at calshot is rag tipped with mackerel on 3 hook flapper.
Hope this helps mate.

Cheers guys, much appreciated info, fished hayling a couple of times at the fun fair and only managed the occasional whiting so wouldnt mind trying something new! Also never fished milford single so that could be worth a shot...
Out of curiousity is there anywhere decent to park which isnt far from the car? It may be the decider between the two venues and no doubt will be taking my grandad and he's not fond of long walks!!
Thanks again all |

If you're going to target Milford Shingle, fish by the rock pile at the shore end around low tide as then the strong tide/weed won't be a problem. I had a nice 2.5lb bream there on squid last year. Kev |
