Hi guys

Im after a little advice please...im bring the fmaily over for a mini break in September and the wife's booked us in at a place called Park Resorts Thorness Bay.

Does anyone know of this place...ive got twin boys 2.5yrs old so dont really want too take them too a place thats run sown ect.

Also any advice tips when a newbie could get some practice in around that area (actually anywhere on the island).

Thanks in advance chaps. big hug

Hi there, i regularly fish at Thorness Bay and have to pass through the park to get to the Bay. Although i haven't stayed at the Park myself i know plenty of people who stay there and it seems like quite a nice place from what i'm told.

As regards the fishing, there is plenty on offer around the island, but the Bay is very productive and of course conveniently situated if your staying on the park.

Species on offer in the Bay are mainly Bass, Smoothhound and mullet.

Hope thats useful to you.
