Lost an absolute cracking fish last night, which I now beleive to be a Mullet. It was big and bloody powerful. Decided to hunt Mullet this morning up the Hamble by the outfall pipes. I saw a group of fish and cast a blood worm in amongst them and got an instant take. It was like a re-run of last nights fish but without the brute force. This fish also took short runs with a lot of head shaking. Suddenly it woke up and headed for France. I thought I might loose this fish also but after ten minutes of careful coaxing a nice 4lb Mullet came ashore. These fish are to be revered! Power like nothing else. Not last nights monster but a very acceptable substitute.

Excellent catch amigo.
Does this mean that my earlier forays for the Mullet with a bloodworm payed off into your account!!!
So far this year a Golden grey specimen and a fick lipped Mallet.
Nice image mate, those coloured pebbles sure make a fine canvass.
Cheers

It was, Mick, almost scarey the power that was in it. Probably a good thing it got off or I would still be trying to land it now |

Certainly was Pat. 48p from 'Fast Mail'. Looks like they tie them on stainless steel hooks too. First cast and he was on. Missed quite a few more too, as did the guy fishing beside me. |
