Flourocarbon is stiffer , has less strech and a lower refractive index (less visible in water) than mono .
Google is your friend , try searching "fluorocarbon vs mono fishing line" lots of interesting info . winking

no m8 flourocarbon is not still its really soft and flexible but is strechy .berkley transition is the best

Only difference that matters is the price.
People seem to imagine that fish have sufficient brains to say to themselves "ooh look a bit of fishing line, better go carefully here". That would make fish almost as intelligent as us which they patently are not.

ive never used flurocorbon and i still catch the odd fish. i think it only makes a difference if your targeting certain fish. a lot of mullet heads wouldnt dream of putting a bit of bait out without it.
