Out from Berwick on Dave Thomsons boat On A Promise. Fishhunter was along for his first boat trip and did as well as the rest of us. We had cod to 5/6 lb with the majority in the two/ three lb mark. I had a ling of 8/10lb which was a personal best for me. Some more ling a couple of wrasse, one saith and one scorpion fish made up the rest of the days catch. Dave worked hard to find fish for us but with the wind against the tide as the trip progressed the drift slowed and the fishing became harder. In saying that between seven anglers there must have been in excess of 80 fish. Myself and fishhunter fished one up, one down or two down rigs baited with lug, squid and shellfish. Hokeyes also accounted for a fair number of fish as the drift slowed. All in all a good days fishing.
Mac
Ps. Mods: I know Berwick is in NE England but we were fishing north of the Tweed in Scottish waters most of the trip winking
