I met up with manic muppit young conner and manics brother raymond at the cafe in filey at 8am, we walked along the beach onto the end of filey brigg and started fishing at 8.45, it was a tackle grave yard with no fish in the first hour i had loast 4 leads, 2 shads and 2 jelly worms not to mention the fresh bait
we moved onto the sand side of the brigg and not a bite the roads never moved but the small crabs seemed to be having a feild day as the hooks came back in minus the baits, later on we moved all the way back onto the boat slip to give that a go over high water but to no avail the fish just seemed to have packed their bags and gone on holiday.
but having said all that the day was very hot and we did have a good laugh and i am looking forward to the next outing

i dont think it is that rough of a ground not if you go setup for it rotten bottum and 25lb line there is alot of other marks i have fished that is alot worse if you fish of green rock and ling rocks its just flat ledges that keep droping off aslong as you get the rig moving and keep the rod high it isnt a problem but if you go to the 1st set of laders from the car park and fish don there it is rough going if you lose a weight every other cast then your doing good but that way is where the wrasse are and big ones at that i had a belter of a fish there last year but it snaged me and would not budge but i had it moving and my rock rod was bent right over ahwel i will get him again hopefully sunday
