Cardiff/Penarth Barrage

Gone through the barrage several times on boats and there always seems to be people fishing on it but never any mention of it on here.

Any reason for this? Rubbish compared to Penarth pier? Water too dirty to eat the fish due to boats? Everyone too stingy to pay for parking?

The reason its never on here because its not that great a place mate.

I ve heard you get eels,flattys,small bass from there and mullet.

Not mu cuppa tea but get some bait and try it mate you never know

if you float fish makerel with light gear your in with a chance of a bass to 6lb most though are small

i reckon they stay in that area and feed on the fresh water fish that are pulled out when barrage door opens

its worth a try especially if other fishing spots are to rough to fish

was talking to an ald boy last week when fishing and he said the same thing he goes there cos its easy fishing plenty of small stuff
