You say you need 'good spec' but what do you use it for and what are you using currently? |

At the moment I have 3 all with s/h bits in them.
I use my computers for the forum, downloading music. changing music into written scores ect.

As mentioned above Morgan are very good and can't recommend them enough. My Father's last 2 computers have come from them and my last one and i'd use them again.
How much music you want to download doesn't really come into it as hard discs are stupidly cheap these days if you want to upgrade.
As for converting audio into score - how do you do that? Slow down with a real pitch thing and transcribe or can you just play a tune and it does it for you?
I'm an awful musician! Had a guitar in the house for 10 years and a piano for 5 and can't do much but torture the wife/neighbours

It does it for you when you load up a tune and will print the score for each instument of give you the main melody,
I myself play keyboard and was taught by my Dad when he was 91yrs of age. Being totaly blind he knew when I hit a wrong note and made me play the piece over again from the start. lol
