Ive been having a look at the Ragworm spawn on tinternet, surely this has got to be THE night to fish.
I believe they come out in droves with a sea temp, tide and moon phase.
Whats your verdict on this?
Load of old boloney or have i got too much time on my hands to look into these things!
Cheers

Maybe they spawn several times a year, with some of the spawnings taking place when Bass are present. |

They only spawn in the late winter/early spring. The worms then die after mating. |

In that case, bassfly's 'special night' will happen not when the worms are spawning but when the young hatch en mass. When is that likely to happen along the Solent? |

Does that take the clock changing into account? Wouldn't want to be an hour early!
PS - Justin Anwyll has beaten MJB to writing that book. |

1) I was never writing a book
and
2) There's no such thing as 'Atlantic Bass', it's just Orvis marketing spiel. |
