Never fish it myself but looking to give it a bash this weekend as well big grin

Now what would be best Night or daytime confused

I always have preferred Nighttime fishing myself, but if anyone has good reports for daytime fishing at Hayling, then I give that a bash as well big hug

Tight Lines!!!

Going on what has happened in the past two years I think you are more likely to find an early plaice up Eastoke way cos the water is deeper there and plaice don't like it too shallow. You need to cast well out for the decent size ones - at least 80 yds if not better and put a few coloured beads on your snoods as an attractant. Best bait is worm tipped off with a little strip of squid. Try between groynes 22 and 30 (they are all numbered), you may find it hard to find a slot though; if this weather keeps up there will be loads of early plaice hunters there I reckon.

Thinking of having a crack first thing Sunday morning LT up (all depends on how much guinness I sink drowning my sorrows after England get a pasting in Dublin on Saturday).

Initial plan was to stay local and fish Eastney but could try Hayling. Eccles do you have to pay to park over there at the moment? It is free on pompey seafront until the end of March.

Toying with the idea mate. Had some back trouble lately and it's not perfect now but still would like to get out for an hour or two. If I feel OK in the morning I think I will pick up a few rag and go down Eastoke Corner around 11.30 and give a try for 2 - 3 hours. HW is around 12.30 and forecast says it will be mild with sunny periods so could be quite nice. Coming?

NP Andy, You didn't miss much. I did Eastoke on Friday and Funfair on Saturday - not a sausage but I think a couple of plaice were taken by some other guys.
