Hi, I'm planning on trying for a few Bass when the season starts and was wondering what kind of rigs/bait etc are best.
I'm planning on using my 9ft rod for some spinning and 12ft rod to cast out further with a baited rig.
I have already tied a few 3 hook flapper rigs which I will bait with sandeel/ mack could you let me know which other rigs I'll be needing so I can make up a few b4 hand.
cheers

Hi mate, There is no particular rig for bass, I have caught them on at least 5 different sorts of rigs, even my short snood bottom hugging rigs designed for sole. I would suggest semi-circle hooks though, or similar as they seem to have a better hook up rate. Only other advice I would offer is to use clipped down rigs as the bait generally stays on better than with flappers.
