Reading other fishing sites and chatting to a few locals, it would seem we have had trawlers drag netting a few hundred yards off the shore in this area. Mundesley , Trimingham and Bacton have all been victims with confirmed sightings.
And we were wondering why the fish had all gone eh ? !!

Just call me an optimist. Abit like the lottery really. If you don't buy a ticket, you are not going to win. It's just a nice surprise if you do. Even if itis only a pound or a tiddler. Or is that more of a gambler?

Gazza mate, why`s it been made sticky?
I know it`s had over 2000 visits and lots of replies but as a genuine post there is realy no reason.
I guess there will only be between 15-20 of us fishing, still it don`t matter will be able to put names to faces and all that
I`ve learnt in the school of shannock................don`t expect a catch report
Lol Darren |

Thanks for placing the bait order Dazzaman. Congrats on the great catch Waterman. With a catch like that would love to know the gory details. Until next weekend a few of us have to live off the tales of other peoples catches.
Have not heard if the consensus for next Sunday is that a bar-b-q after the fish is a good idea or not. I am happy to organise it with you guys if you would like me to?
Cheers, Ladyfish |

Been following this thread for a while and now found the Mrs is working next Sunday, Kids are away on hols. with Grandad so I am on my own and could come along. Not fished in the sea for a few years but think I can get together a set of fishable tackle. Some tips on terminal tackle and what size leads and hooks would be useful then I can go to a tackle shop and get fixed up. I have a caravan at Heacham I can stay in the night before and looking at the low tide for Sunday I would think I can get out at Heacham on Sat. night and dig some lugworm.
Seen the website for details of location and if anyone knows a postcode I can get the Sat Nav to guide me to the spot.
Hoping someone can send a brief pm with some advice.
Thanks John. |

Hi john, you`re more than welcome to join us
One of the more local lads will give you info on tackle shops
I`ll hazard a guess at weight size, probably 6oz(170gr) breakaway lead
As for rigs, one up one down/3 hook flapper/pulley rig it`ll be trial and error
Don`t know the postcode,if you get to happisborough just use spiny`s directions
Hope this helps, like i said one of the locals may be of more help
Look forward to seeing you on sunday, regards Darren |

| I'm with Steve on the barby idea. I normally have something snacky to eat and eat all the fish I catch when I get home - I wish !!! Why not set up a barby and let those people who want to use it bring their own food along. It would save the trouble of organising anything. Neil |
