ditto cokkies response.
As a newbie to here myself and judging by the help I have received, I imagine that the reason you got a shortage of advice was more that not many had fished that area recently opposed to it being you!
I myself havn't fished Polperro but fished about 4 miles west, nar Polruan. Your right, it is a beautiful area. For future info, Looe, which is about 3 miles away from Polperro has 2 or 3 good tackle shops in it. Not sure about bait though.

Not really been fishing around Looe much before. One occasion on Banjo pier, had several small flatties, plaice i think. Then tried just around the corner on the West Looe side, i think it's called Hannafore. Managed to get out on some of the rocks there and float fished some Mackerel and small rag. I was plagued with small wrasse but nothing of much size. Sometimes, just further up the coast Seaton beach can fish quite well of an evening with an incoming tide, some quite good bass caught from there in the past. Good luck, Mike Roberts. |

Was in Looe last week, not fishing though, saw a nasty sign on the pier stating that fishing from it was not permitted during the period April to October. (B*@tar&s) |
