| Are there any sites which hire out fishing kayaks on the south coast or shops on the water [ fresh or salt ] where you can try different models to see how they go .Last time i was in a kayak was at calshot thirty odd years ago, it was great fun just paddling about for a week . |

i've found a website that says they rent kayaks, but have not called yet. its
www.fcwatersports.co.uk i think its down in sandbanks, but they might have another shop somewhere else. hope that helps.
but i think they are just "plain" kayaks wihtout the fishing gear, but they might be able to help you. |

| Thanks for pointing that out , i`m still not using the site links as much as i should---too obvious ! Fcwatersport seems to be aimed at the pleasure paddler, no mention of fishing yaks . Did see that a tackle shop owner in the channel islands was thinking of getting some to sell-hire.Good excuse for a weeks try before u buy holiday. Any more info on fishing kayak hire in sussex/hants area ? |
