the best thing to do is to salt them first i use salt from my water softener but any salt works,
allow them to dry overnite with plenty of salt this draws out all the juice then freeze them.
it goes like stiff locorish but stays on the hook ok.
not as good as fresh but i have caught fish on it,
Keith

im not a big fan of frozen lug but if you are going to do it make sure you get as much juice and guts out of em as possable and wrap em up in clean dry newspaper.
