I know how you feel mate. There seems to be a huge quantity of them this year, i dont remember it being this bad last year.
Spiders are all i have caught on my last 3 trips |

| Spiders are only around for a few weeks this time of year which is their breeding season. We had them here until middle of last week but they seem to have all gone now. We are now getting a bit of westerly wind for a few days which nearly always livens things up a bit so should be a lot better this weekend - I am doing Friday and Saturday and expecting some decent fishing. |

That's good to here just wish the weed would go away that quick.
I'm hoping to do Gilkicker or Browndown Friday and Saturday night.

Hi Dazzaman, your right, avoid the toilets, but filey does produce, its just unpredictable. and crabs are an unavoidable hazard wherever you go. its just a case of perservering. we all blank, or catch crabs, but eventually were rewarded for our efforts. |

A warm welcome to the forum mate, the beauty about sea fishing is that you don't know what your gonna catch until it's on your hook. Don't stand next to manic _muppet or you'll catch more crabs lol |

Mackerel strips/fillets are probably one of the best baits this time of year and fresh is better than frozen if you can pull a couple of macks in with feathers. Squid not quite so hot but bream will take it. Rigs are your choice, I use a single hook running leger when fishing bigger baits and conditions are rough/weedy and swop over to a two hook clipped down if I wnt to cast well out. |
