Fished the pier today caught a garfish on a float with sandeel, my fishy pal caught a gurnard with lug/mack combo, pier was rammed today (as expected) with not really that many fish coming up. I went last sunday and it was brill loads of various fish coming up, especially smoothounds on crab when cast toward neath valley, garfish and gurnards. Feathering is a bit of a waste, in my 3 visits in the last fortnight I've only seen a couple of mackerel off them.

I dont catch anything on my beachcaster off the pier recently apart from starfish and crabs.

Any one know how much to get a rod-eye replaced? I snapped the big one at the bottom and its a bit of a fancy one that folds down when you pack up the rod into the bag.

try the local tackle shop they should be able to help

its pretty easy to do yourself

practice on a broom handle then once you have done it you should be able to no problem (then varnish over top of it)

good luck

I was on the jetty also with a friend, on the right hand side, he caught a gurnard, and I caught a garfish, went back on monday with the missus and blanked.
