Fished the pier today caught a garfish on a float with sandeel, my fishy pal caught a gurnard with lug/mack combo, pier was rammed today (as expected) with not really that many fish coming up. I went last sunday and it was brill loads of various fish coming up, especially smoothounds on crab when cast toward neath valley, garfish and gurnards. Feathering is a bit of a waste, in my 3 visits in the last fortnight I've only seen a couple of mackerel off them.
I dont catch anything on my beachcaster off the pier recently apart from starfish and crabs.
Any one know how much to get a rod-eye replaced? I snapped the big one at the bottom and its a bit of a fancy one that folds down when you pack up the rod into the bag. |

try the local tackle shop they should be able to help
its pretty easy to do yourself
practice on a broom handle then once you have done it you should be able to no problem (then varnish over top of it)
good luck

I was on the jetty also with a friend, on the right hand side, he caught a gurnard, and I caught a garfish, went back on monday with the missus and blanked. |
