could have been a small mako shark (very close cousin of great white) they live off our shores all year round and are constantly getting wrongly spotted as great whites.

Although scientifically great white sharks are able to go further north than Cornwall and I’m sure they would if there was more food sources around than there usual feeding grounds.
well after watching it a few times then pauseing it at key parts i would say that image looks a bit fake to me, can see it better when it goes to the slow motion part that the image looks spliced in, especially that there is only the head of the shark and no body is really a big give away has a clean cut on the shark images head to the water line, even a dark object will give some outline that close to the surface, also the shark image doesn't change while it goes past the boat, also again the slow motion part shows it better , would have been better if they didn't slow it down .
But that is just my opinion i guess
after watching it a few more time my eyes noticed somthing so just thought i would edit it and add look for the shadow of the shark and compare it to the shadows of the passengers, it is on the wrong side , shadow is behind the shark which is the same direction as the sun so cannot be possible to form a shadow on that side.

One of the worst cut and paste jobs ever. Can't believe I wasted a minute watching the snip. Anyway, I reckon Rabbi should take his boat down to Sheringham or do you reckon he's "gonna need a bigger boat". Matt Haynes hooked one on his TV show and he shat himself when the anchor snagged and realised he was harnessed in with a 15 foot killing machine on the end. Imagine Matt Haynes being dragged through the water followed by an eerie silence as the fish turns and homes in for the kill. That would be great.

Hiya
On this subject, please may I add my piece?
This is something I have never talked about in public before, not to the press, scientists nor my close friend who was the top sharking skipper in this country, we were together that day, we just looked at each other and said nothing, not for fear of scorn or riddicle but to protect a species of ancient fishes, the sharks.
In 1985 I was fishing off of the South Coast of England.
The day had been very good to us, I had taken 9 Porbeagle sharks and one Thresher, ranging from 175 to over 250lb.
Things went quiet for awhile, then I was hit, and connected to something the like I had never hooked before. Bear in mind, 10 sharks already that day! This was different, it was sheer brute power, nothing spectacular, no run, no leaping like the threshers, just power. I was connected about 1 minute when the line went slack, I reeled in and my 750 pound stainless steel trace had been bitten clean through.
Re rigged, over went the bait, and within 2 mins it was taken, same scenario as before, but I was connected 5 minutes this time, line went slack and this time on reeling in the trace was intact, the hook however, a14/0 forged steel one, had been straightened enough to allow it to pull out of its holding point on THE fish.
I was using quality 80lb class gear.
No more takes or other fish that day.
I do have photographic evidence of that day, the bitten through trace and the straightened hook. And we have the fishing papers articles on the Porbeagles and Thresher taken that day in August 1985
Think what you will, I believe in my heart, I hooked a true top of the food chain preditor twice that day, but I will not mention the type, yes I am afraid to, so what?
Thanks for reading.

I don't doubt you mate. In my opinion Great White's must surely frequent these waters. There is no hard evidence yet due to the vastness of the sea and their low numbers. They are there but finding them is a different kettle of fish. Needles and Haystacks springs to mind. They get them in the Mediteranean sea so they must go through the Gibraltar Straits. I reckon that a Great White could make it to British waters within two or three days from the Straits of Gibraltar.
