im heading out to glenarm and garron point with my kayak to do some fishing today, just to get to all the places i cant reach from the shore or rocks.
if you see a guy in a blue fishing kayak then gimme a wave lol. perhaps i,ll fish near the salmon cages- apparently theres amazing cod under it sweeping up all the salmon pellets that fall through.

apart from that , i never really had any fantastic fish in the last 20 years ! but thats maybe just down to me ..........

i,ll post a catch report tomorrow .

I like fishing Garron Point on the Coast Road. I use a float and plenty of burlie to bring the fish in. Usually catch loads of coal fish, wrasse and pollack. Using a spinner brings good results. For good craic use light tackle and frozen prawns on a small hook - you hit loads of wrasse.

My other usual spots are Downhill which brings in plenty of flatties and the odd bass (except for this year!!!) Red Bay usually fishes well too.

Ballycastle usually fishes well. I have also had a few days good craic float fishing from Portstewart harbour and Ramore Head Portrush.
