Hi all.
As i said a few weeks ago i headed down to the beautiful St Ives (which it truly is) for a spot of fishing.
Day one.
everything looked perfect bit blowy but managable you name it we tried it every bait every rig every distance in the rocks out the rocks on the sand off the sand 20 yards 50 yards 100 yards and caught wait for it.......................... Nothing not a sausage but one bite, things can surely only get better!!!!
Day two.
Off to Porthleven to fish the Looe Bar surely cant fail two rods each every bait again every tactic, bloody windy but ok, fished for about 5 hours from High and caught.................. wait for it................. Nothing not even a bite!
Should of realised when we Chatted to Danny in the Porthleven Angler before we set off when we asked how it had been fishing, and his faced changed from happy Tackle shop guy to a look of "if tell them that 4 guys fished the night tide last night and caught erm herm nothing then might be doing myself out of sale here"
But he was honest and a really nice fella so we took it on the chin and headed off.
On the plus side really lovely spot and we will be back oh yes we will!!!!
Really nice to see Peter aka "Morvagh" thanks for all your help and the lift down the boozer to drown our sorrows when we couldnt get hold of the girlfriends to pick us up from the car park "oh yes darling you take the car we`ll be here for a while will phone you after dark and you can pick us up with a bag of fish!!" Whoops
Anyway youve gotta take the bad days to enjoy the good as i said before we will be back!!!!!
Grant. |
