| hi everyone , just to say hello as i'm new to this sort of thing , i normaly fish the south east coast when i can , ie. deal , herne bay , kingsdown. my son who is 14 comes with me sometimes but he is a fair weather angler and for some reason prefers night fishing in the summer .i love taking him with me but he always seems to outdo his dad when catching something , even the last cast he always seems to catch something . the last time we went together he caught a small lobster from deal pier ( about 1 lb ) took a picture and put it back . i have never caught any massive fish except a nice 5lb bass from dunggie many years ago but i do enjoy it . got to go now tight lines everyone [/list] |

welcome mate
your'e so lucky to be able to spend time with your son enjoying this hobby
iv'e 3 daughters and they are propper girls and they beat me everytime on the wii (a game system for all those that dont know , not being rude )
as for night time fishing just like most teenagers ,they seem to change into vampires (sleep in bed all day and wake up at night time )
a 5lb bass , a lovely fish , lots more about now so get out there and show us dads can fish
cheers steve |

Welcome to the forum That sounds like a nice little lobster probably big enough to eat! They come right inshore april/may and can even be found on some rocky beaches at low water, I found my first 1 this year but have seen pictures of someone with 3!! Anyway happy hunting and I hope you or your son get another Bass or 2 |
