Hi all, just wondering if anyone thinks newer rods and reels surpass previuos models.
I currently use a pair of team daiwa paul kerry procast rods paired with an abu 6500 mag elite and a daiwa 7ht,I also carry a daiwa f7300 m beachcaster and a daiwa millioaire 2 as back-up.
these were all bought new between 1992/3.I clean them after every trip and upto now I haven`t even had to replace a single part on either rods or reels.
What do you think? |

| My opinion for what its worth is to stick with the gear that has been tried and trusted throughout the years and has served you well all this time. I would dearly love to get my hands on the person who nicked 2 Abu 484s as they are not made anymore and are nigh impossible to replace. keith |

its nice to treat yourself to a new rod or reel but reels such as the diawa millionaire has been round for years are are still popular now if it was rubbish it would have stopped being made and disasapeared years ago
my dad has a pair of cod 5's from 30 yrs ago and still use's them now (tight old buger ) |
