Well i thought i would make a quick post to say how badly our first fishing trip in morecambe bay went on saturday. This was our first outing since fully refurbing our boat we had just recently bought about 6 weeks ago.
The outboard is or should i say was a 40hp Mariner and as we got about 3 miles out it completely packed up and seized worried
We then had a long trek back powered by a auxillary seagull we had purchased which thankfully ran with no problems.
We are now left with no boat for the summer as planned until we can either get a repair or replacement.
If anyone knows of any good places to get repairs done in the cumbria area or has an outboard for sale etc then please get in touch as we need one desperately.
Hope everyone else is having more success now the weather has picked up .

OK Mate, Here goes, do you want the engine repaired or replaced? Either way I'll give you a contact number and mention keith at blackburn and he will sort out your problem. The number is 07814538282 his name is Austin and if need be he will come out to you. He is the best and fairest guy I know. Hope this helps. keith

thanks alot Keith. I'll have a crack with my mate and see what he thinks. To be honest i think it could be more worth while to replace it as opposed to repairing it. I'll give Austin a ring though and see what he thinks.
