|
|
Arrived at Whitehaven at 12.30pm and set up gear at 1pm
There were about 8 rods out already as it is popular with the locals as by this time water was fairly deep
About 2pm things started hotting up and mackrel were being pulled in 3 to six at a time. by this time about 20 rods were out
By 7pm we packed up but sill newcomers arriving.
It was a hectic day with Buck taking 12 mackrel and 4 flounders and I taking 15 mackrel with 6 flounders
All the flounders were on the small side and wre returned while the mackrel were big and plump.
Went for fish and chicken nuggets and arrived back home at 23 12pm. completely knackerd.
Got up this morning with a banging headach.
Anyone wanting mackrel get up to Whitehaven and put out a string of feathers or lures you cant go wrong.
Must point out that they didnt take any bait offerings.
Close to 300 mackerel were taken from both walls |

| Hi, jimjam yes we do fish morecambe and next time we do you are quite welcome to come along. When we fish an area I normally put it on here and try to arrange transport, bait time ect. If you are under 16 then with your parents permission we can take you to places like Arnside, Fleetwood or Whitehaven. Hope this helps keith |

keith, I've drove up and down the Coastal footpath looking for him, just before high tide, but no sign.
