hello,
I'm new to this site and to fishing in the summer and was wondering what state of tide/bait, is best for catching Ray + other summer dwelling fish around spurn - withernsea coast line.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

I've not fished withernsea before. At spurn road you'll be best fishing on a spring tide at low water. But if you go to the very end of spurn point and fish facing towards cleethorpes there is a deep hole, that area is best fished on a neap low tide unless you got a rod strong enough to cast upto 10oz lead to try and hold bottom

For rays and suchlike I would go for a running ledger with a mackerel fillet on a size 3/0 hook. Hope this helps. keith |
