|

Take a look at the following details of the forthcoming sponsered fundraising open competition being held by the newly formed Angling Communities Charitable Trust or (A.C.C.T.) The trusts' main aim - To fund raise to help needy causes anywhere within the angling community.
The success of the fundraising and the A.C.C.T will be dependant on the united support of anglers and angling clubs alike. In other words the more anglers that turn out to the A.C.C.T. events and the larger the number of clubs and businesses involved the greater the funds available to a wide range of worthy causes that effect any or all of us as anglers.
The funds from this years open event will go towards helping the 12 year old son of a angler from Weston-super-Mare who was tragically left brain damaged after being knocked down in a road accident. The funds raised will help to go towards part of the young lads life-long rehabilition. A most worthy cause I'm sure you'll all agree.
The trust has already got a number of tackle sponsers and support onboard from the likes of The NFSA, Veals, Shimano, Daiwa, Staddons Timber Merchant, Monsoon and local businessman Mark Wildgoose as well as local angling clubs who have already pledged funds such as Weston SAC, Birnbeck SAC and Weston Outcasts SAC.
The scope and possibilties for the A.C.C.T. could be massive if they can generate enough help support from anglers like yourselves. Its hoped the A.C.C.T. can eventually gain national recognition and support.
