Hi ive been kayak fishing in the past but only for makerel with a handline, found it quite awkward as you drift a long way and cant get the line in quick enough, ending in tangles, but in saying this, the kayak was very stable.
You obviously now can get kayaks that are specificaly made for fishing with rod holders etc which i would expect make life a bit easier |

thanks for your input. i have been doing a lot of research as kayaks arnt cheap. i have been looking at anchors that can bought now and im thinking this would help to overcome any tangles or drifting problems. Some of the kayaks i have been researching are fishing specific so i would think they would be fine. i guess the only way to know is to try before you buy and even if i cant fish me and the family will have some fun in the summer (getting wet) lol.
thanks again
