hey all went fishing saturday day at porthcawl pier and all i can say is what a waste of time!! Got there really early to get the best spot only to find two people were already by the lighthouse so i choose the left hand side of the pier which was probably the worse place i could of picked, About half hour after i started to fish there were boats in and out jet skiers and people jumping in and out all day! Fished from about 10 til half 3 and only 1 bite altogether baring in mind there was a few of us and in total 6 rods were being used, very dispointed! I also fished The knap yesterday and again not a bite! But my mate had a 5lb ray and a terbert which i was very surprised at!
Could any1 suggest a good place to fish around that area or anywhere in south wales where the catch is good and around what time is the best??
Would be very grateful
