| Fished canvey (scars elbow area) friday night 3 hours up and 2 down. caught plenty of small whiting, pouting, and codling all being about 10 inches in size. The fish were at various distances out and coming to all 4 rods. Crab/rag and lug/squid was doing the business even had whiting on a squid strip bait. bad conditions but lots of action to make up for the wind and rain! |

| If you head for thorney bay caravan park and drive to the end where it meets the sea wall, walk right and go over a style and bingo scars elbow! You can purchase fresh bait from gone fishing on charfleets ind est as this is probally the nearest place. order bait in advance though as you dont want to get caught out!! good luck |

Enought said.......
Scars should fish well on the next set of bigger tides, even in daylight. IF you can get hold of fresh peeler, you will do even better, and should find eels and basslings amongst the codling. Get the odd lunker bass gets caught there every year to, and often early. I saw a bloke walking back to his caravan (yep, people DO holiday there!) with a brace of doubles swinging by his side, at Easter, albeit about 28 years ago! |
