Spent an enjoyable afternoon catching small codling with my son (Rocklingbalboa) down at Holland on Sea on Thursday. There were several anglers down there, but I saw nothing sizeable come out. Bites were coming at all stages of the tide from two hours before to three hours after and the fish were all over the place, 20 feet out to 90 yards (and probably beyond!). Young Rocky caught first ever sea fish, so another convert
Only downer on the day was the lamentable size of the 'lugworm' purchased from Metcalfs in Walton - more like maggots.
Went trout fishing at Graffham on Friday and caught 4lb 6oz rainbow, so got to take something home for my efforts
