I went to aberavon beach tonight with two mates and between us we caught 30+ whiting, 10+ rockling, a few codling, pouting, flounders and a schoolie all undersize but nevermind we did not blank

bait used was rag/lug, squid, mackeral, and sandeel ( which with lug) was the best cocktail

going to either newton or swansea on tuesday

Hey lots of action then mate, what size were the whiting, we were at Newton on Friday, and had small whiting but it was a bit gusty to say the least....

i've only sea fished in south wales once at the moment, that was around newport, hoping to go this summer for the bass around swansea bay. i go trout fishing quite alot around monmouth though as i used to live near there. i'd reccomend anyone to go for holidays and fishing trips round south wales as it's a great place to visit.
