After the disapointment of the Medina I couldn't stay in on saturday night so I went out for the second session of the day. Just Stayed local in Cowes and decided after 3 blanked sessions anything would do. I snapped my last beachcaster last week so I pulled out an old pier rod and went light tackle with a flattie style rig with lots of beads. I fished outside the Holmwood Hotel, there were a few others braving the cold around Egypt point and towards Cowes. I didn't see anyone catch anything but i had the most welcome Pout i've ever caught, the drout is over, well if you count a pout! Hopefully my new rod will come tomorrow, only a cheapy. Its a Daiwa meanstreak 12ft, they usually about £60, found one one on ebay for £30, don't want to spend to much cuz i'll only snap it!!

Tight Lines.........

Hi all , just to give some ideas on where to fish at low water. In the day try the dover at st helens or go around to the sand bank side( just follow the road round to Bembridge and stop at the end of the harbour) Be carefull here the tide realy runs but you can catch bass on a spinner or bait.Sandown pier might be worth a go. At night try chale bottom of the tide up .

i have also fished atherfield at low water but still find high tide more productive .

i have decided to fish for conger eels , any one have any advice ??
