I'm quite new to fishing and thought i woudl seek some advice?
What are the species to target in the winter? i can fish pembrokeshire and mumbles?
What are the best tactics and best times to fish?
Best Bait?
Best areas?
Ok just teach me something

rcjelly89 there are loads of good places around our coast mate there's llanstefan, llaugharne for flatties mostly lug/ragworm, most of the gower beaches are fishing ok lug/rag/squid/mackeral/peeler aberavon beach port talbot fishing decent but mostly small ones, newton beach in porthcawl and porthcawl harbour wall is fishing |

there is a charge of 3 quid per rod,opens at 9 closes at 5ish  |

two hook paternoster i use mate then either a 4-5oz lead or 5-oz grip weight then the tide is running (estuary) bait lug/ragworm its best having a few beads on the rig to attract the sods |

i agree with the bassman allso try a 3 hook clipped down rig again with attracter beads and size 2/0 or 3/0 abeerdeen hooks on 6 to 10 inch hook lengths and try adding a stop knot just above the beads to stop the bait sliding up the hook length when casting hope this helps

if you new to sea fishing instead of trying to make your own rigs go to a tackle shop buy a couple then see how they're made then try making them yourself |

yes mate i had a 5lb bass off llanmadoc beach(gower) the other week plus there are loads of schoolies about |

there are bass around a place called "pobble beach" is one place i know of ask bigbassman i think hes had one before, caswell can sometimes produce just avoid the surfers  |

it depends on how well you know swansea area ? head towards mumbles,there is a pub called the "woodman" turn right (opposite the texaco garage) follow the road all the wayto the end and the park in the car park and follow the path on the right ,it is a killer walk,best fished at low tide with fresh/live sandeels and all the usual suspects,hope this helps,there are are lots of fishy areas that i would love to try soon as i get chance either way give it a go you never know  |
