Kayak Fishing ?

hi everybody.

has any of you tried kayak fishing? what sort of price are you looking at for the kayak and other equipment? is there anything that i should be looking for on a kayak for fishing?

i've been looking at a 9ft sit on kayak on ebay, it's made by crystal. i don't wanna buy a brand new fishing kayak incase i don't like it. from a few web sites i've looked on the kayaks cost Â£300- Â£500, alot of money for a dabble.

any info appreciated. cheers.

as far as buying a kayak... have you thought about a 'WANTED' advert in your local paper or free paper.. usually wanted adds are free

ebay can have bargains.... but then if you have to travel 500 mile round trip it doesn't always work out cheap

Fishing Kayaks are expensive to buy but they keep value very well so you won't be losing much. However, how do you know you'll be enjoying this great hobbie??
you could start by taking a couple of kayak lessons and see how you get on with it? bearing in mind that SOT are much easier than sit in kayaks
A word of warning though, once you're hooked on Kayak Fishing you'll probably never want to go shore fishing again happy

The catch rate tend to be higher than shore fishing, that's becuse you can fish wherever you want!
