The one with the fish on the end big grin

Seriously within my price range, Daiwa Supercast 13ft and for travelling, Shimano beastmaster 7piece 13ft.

Also got two old Daiwa Moonrakers that get used have had them since the mid 80's and they've never let me down

Fox Plug & Spin - 9'6" of pure bliss with a Shimano baitrunner FS reel.

Forget your beachcasters. This is class.

Daiwa Moonraker Z for a good alround robust rod.
Having said that I really do like the look and feel of the CME's. My next purchase me thinks.

you can have a go of mine if you like - when we get the chance to go fishing.

Also, I think Century are stopping production of the CMC and it will be the Carbon Metal Crest wich takes it's place. Not sure so you may want to check.

Do love my old Daiwa Moonraker... as we speak waiting for another Moonraker I bought off ebay to arrive so I can get it re-rung so I'll have a matching pair!

Just bought a Daiwa Sandstorm - only one outing so far - time will tell.

I was the same, had 2 13' fixed spool moonrakers, changed this year, bought 2 Greys triplex 16', slowly getting used to using them, when i get the cast right wow, Greys are good but personally still think the moonraker has the edge.

Century F40 has to be my fav.

You can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up.
I think that is the secret to picking your fav rod, there is just something about it when you pick it up, you know it's class.
