hi im callum if fish at portsmouth harbour at the old camber but i have been doing it for sevaral months but still no luck i have the right bait and gear when people leave once they have caught enough fish for the day i move to that spot but still no luck please can you help me  |

you say that you have the right bait and gear, but what is that bait and gear?
Also, what fish are the other anglers catching? |

the fish that are around pollack and wrasse thats all the species i know that are currentl there . i use a mustad size 2 with 15lb line
witha a 1 ounce arsley bomb with a bait of king ragworm and a 10 ft beach/peir outfit |

Well it sounds like you are doing things right. Have you tried fishing with a heavier lead or a breakaway lead as this can help to hook the fish when it strikes at your bait?
All of my wrasse have been taken on the float using rag worm as bait and a 1/0 or 2/0 hook so it might be worth trying that.
Next time that you are fishing and you see someone catch a fish why not ask if they can show you what method they are using? (most of us don't bite)

Don't give up on the fishing just yet, give it another couple of years or so and you should of caught some seriously good fish.
