No is the answer Sacha! you might get something with the squid though, I have used cockles very successfully for lake fishing, Bream and carp love em!!

If I were you get yourself down the corner shop and purchase a tin of sweetcorn and a tin of luncheon meat. Cut the luncheon meet in to 1/4 inch cubes and push the hook through the middle out the oher side hold in place with a small peice of dry grass/straw if you can find any. This helps prevent the hook pulling through during the cast, remember no pendulum casting, lol or you'll lose your bait mid flight..lol

Hooksize 12 or size 14 should do the trick, size 10 at a push.

Save the lug and rag for another day mate!!

Try digging a few earth worm if you have time, Perch love them..

Better still take your mate and go do some real fishing of a beach and use up that ragworm..lol

P.S you need a rod licence for pond fishing so be carefull if you dont have one, £1000 fine if your caught.
Good luck

A size 2! suprise far to big Sacha, not only that some, or most lakes nowadays insist on barbless hooks.

You''l see a few very unhappy faces if you turn up on the lake with your beachcaster, 18lb line and a size 2 hook let me tell you!! Funny thought tho! lol

sacha, you need size 10-18 barbless hooks and sweetcorn/luncheon meat works very well, take some bread maybe.

but aye, barbed is a big no no

you've been warned laddy- don't come crying on here if you get caught by a bailiff without a license- you can buy day licenses as well.

ah the massive debate of eastern europeans STEALING OUR fish...

i know sea anglers arnt really affected by this, however if this topic arose on a coarse angling forum it would be amusing. The debates are endless...

As for not fishing with a licence i think thats stupid, if i had proof of what you were doing id report you myself! angry

Idiot...

Hmmm, Before you call anyone an else an idiot ......................
`Not fishing with a licence` would be a bit pointless but owning a licence but not fishing is no crime. I think you mean `fishing without a licence`.
