Hi m8, what part of Anglesey are you visiting?I can give you a few headers were ive heard of some luck but as i dont fish much in Anglesey i cant tell you some sure fire spots,so here goes just what ever you do DONT fish in the Menai Straights its seriously a waste of time unless your after sea trout lol, which if were the case its the best place to fish escpecially at the opening of the river arfon,
Anyways here they are
1)North West of the Island :by Newbourough Beach (sandy)
2)East : Penmon (by the light house) (deep & rocky)
3)North : Holyhead or Treaddur bay (mix stone & sand)
If you decide on coming off the island either head towards Pwllheli nice sandy open areas or head towards llandudno pier not bad at night sure of some fun there, anyway im off for now and hope you have many more responses to help you have a pleasant weekend uphere in north wales, im off to Dinas on the weekend maybe friday after work if i can so ill try & let you know how it goes,
P.S forgot if you need any bait shops theres one in bangor on your right by trainstation, a good one in caernarfon worth going to if you have some spare minutes as hes an active angler and can tell you where's biting or next door to the garage on your way to penmon, well think thats me signing off once again have gud weekend & hope to read your report on the weekends avents lol, |
