Is it the sun's reflection on the water that does this to you? Seriously could my line be too slack on the spool? Can anyone recommend a good wieght to be casting with?

As for line, why not buy some new and respool your reel. As for leads, look at the casting rating of your rod and go from there. I'm using between 5oz and 7oz depending on the rod and how much grip I need.

As for the sun, what sun? :lol:

while fishing off mersea island recently i managed to catch to jetskis in one day obviously i wasnt happy at losing my line twice but it cheered me up no end when i saw a guy with a nasty fishing line cut across his forhead in the bar later must of hurt but im cruel like that..the next day at a totaly different spot i managed to snag a sailing dinghy so at least i didnt blank

Coming back into Brightlingsea froma club boat trip once we ran over a windsurfer......hilarious.......one less windsurf board on the planet (or rather one less in one piece) :lol:
