1.make six turns
2.shove the little bit through the loop near the eye
3.hold the shank of the hook in your left hand.
4.pull it tight really hard without moistening the knot
5.have your left hand slip and get your midlle finger impaled with a hook
6.shout f*** realy loud and not be alowed to go fishing for 1 week.

Ah well, you are supposed to hold the hook with some thin nosed pliers not your fingers. |

That looks like a well hooked catch. no chance of the hook falling out of that one then. |

Take no notice of em mate, we have all done it. I remember casting at Blackpool in a gale using a 6oz weight only to find that the wind took it and it ended up over the illuminations at the back of me. |

someone I fished with years ago did that, the barb went clean through his skin so he snipped the eye off with a pair of pliers and passed it through his finger that way

Not nice m8, a few months ago i was hooked in the finger while deadbaiting 4 pike, i had 2 trebles on a trace. When i was unhooking the fish, it flipped and drove the treble into my finger, i dropped the pike with shock which then landed in the water and continued 2 fight whilst i was still hooked in the finger. I was not impressed. The treble had split my bone in 2 and i needed 15 stiches. You get my full sympathy cos it might not look much but i bet it stings like a bi*ch. |
