| I can recommend Severn Beach as a Mostly safe place to fish You just need to watch out for the mud. Try using a rotten bottom with spark plug as weight as it is very easy to snag up and lose kit. There are still cod there but mine have all been small. At the moment I have been going that little bit further down to minehead, (06/04/2007) produced two nice 3lb codling and too many dogfish to count up to 3lb |

| I was down that way just a couple of weeks ago, caught 3 cod from Layde Bay area, which is in Clevedon. All the cod were around 14 inches long. the only trouble is it can be a bit of a hike from where you park your car. |
