I always wondered why everyone had a thick line on the end of their rods, is that what a shockleader is? Concrete why do you get so miffed about this topic, I have never heard of a shockleader? I only use 2lb B/S line and I tend to find that when casting a 5lb sinker the line does tend to snap and leave the lead on the grpound behind me, so should I use a shockleader and will 50lb b/s line be enough, or should I use instead 800lb B/s line as according to my maths, 50lb b/s line is 160 times stronger than 5oz b/s line. As you lot keep talking about 10x times the ounces of the lead weight, which means a 5oz lead only needs 3.125 lb breaking strain line doesn't it?
Also when I scaled down to a 10oz lead and used 10lb b/s line I found that I could fire a lead sideways down the beach at about 500 miles an hour, it was so funny shouting FORE along the beach and seeing all these anglers ducking as my lead flew over their heads, then they all started walking towards me with funny expressions on their faces, so I realised that perhaps they didn't understand why I shouted Fore. I mean I always do that when I hit my Golf Ball at the people in front of me, and they don't come back looking funny, they sort of run away.
Just wondered that's all. |

Edgey. Would you like to stand about half a mile away from me and cough?
Owing to the distance that you would be away from me, this would obviously be a.......................

Nice to see someone appreciates my humour, the rest seem to think I am a dypsomaniacal lunatic! |
