There are two ways to jelly eels...the first involves stinking your house out for a week with the smell of the things and then eating something that resembles cat food.

The second involves a large hammer and a bit of hard work.

I prefer to throw them back on account of their love of eating everything sewer related and the various studies that have shown that their flesh retains seriously high levels of the dangerous chemicals found in boat anti-fouling and pesticides (the same applies for Flounders).

Don't get me wrong, I only hate eating em, I'm quite happy to catch a decent size Eel....I just prefer to throw them back and get a peice of Mackerel out of the freezer when I get home.

Oh and whatever you do don't fry them...unless you are prepared to live with the smell for about a month!

I just gut them, chop them in to chunks and boil them in enough water to just cover them. Let them cool and they just "jelly" themselves. Make sure you clean them thoroughly.

So that's how you lot stay so slim.

Does that mean if I stop catching fish (Screaming's leading the way there  ) I'll lose weight?

Just off to the kitchen for another pie

you should stop catching fish and leave the pies alone to protect your ever increasing girth.

we are all worried. If you jump up and down at Jaywick, you could wipe out amsterdam. Do not avoid salads - It is not clever.
