What a rip-off! I pay around a pound for breakaway impact leads and 80 or 90p for other leads. I think Veals do mail order on leads, so it might be worth your while to do that. |

I get breakaway impact leads for about £1-25 each. Be careful on the Veals thing as they look cheap but you've got to factor postage in to that. If you don't mind the gemini leads (I'm not that keen) you can buy the kit to make your own. |

£1.65- no matter what weight?-disgraceful- bloody thieving northerners- they'll be down pillaging next. Even with the postage you'll be better off getting mail order if you buy plenty. I believe its one postage charge for leads regadless of how many you buy. |

Absolutely disgusting, my old man used to get a packet of 20 weights for about 3s 6d if i remember right but that was a few years ago (showing my age,LOL). Seriously though, my tackle shop starts at about 40p and goes up, but they do make them theirselves. Even so Sean and I are thinking of doing our own - just need a plumbers gas torch, small crucible and 2 or 3 moulds which last for ever. |

Needed a couple of new watch lead sinkers for flatty fishing so went to local shop today - just 40p each for 4oz size with stainless eyes. If you want to pay through the nose for sinkers, thats up to you, got more sense meself. |

If you are considering buying weights 'online' I thoroughly recommend purchasing them from Lathams-Fishing. Breakaways (shortail) from 90gm(3oz) to 210gm (7oz) cost 74p to £1.10, (longtail) 76p to £1.14;moreover, this company offers free delivery on all orders over £20.
So, if you buy some other tackle or equipment too you will save yourself a few quid. Normal delivery usually takes three days.
