Bass definately....but closely followed by Flounder. Not little Flounders but decent size Flounders. Probably seems strange to some people but I think the humble old Flounder deserves more credit.
That being said, about the only things swimming I don't appreciate catching are bootlace Eels, Weevers and sanitary towels. :lol: |

Bass, Plaice and Cod (life doesn't get much better than when catching these delicious fish, as long as they are big enough to take of course)

Favourite fighting fish has got to be the humble mackerel and the underrated flounder, catch either of these on light tackle and it spoils you for general 'chuck and winch' beach fishing. Bass are great, but pound for pound not as feisty as a mackerel. |

Pound for pound, you can't beat a Scad or Dorset Trevally as I've taken to calling them. Great fun on light gear. |

Mackerel or Bass on a spinning rod freelining of the back of the boat with no weight or float just a slither :lol: of fresh mackerel for bait. Great Fun and Great eating |

Mackerel and Small Bass are fun lets not forget the Blackbream :wink: what a fighter they are on light gear!
