Hi
I have not fished Sand Point but i did do a scouting mission about 4 weeks ago. I read about Sand Point in the sea angler mag and as i live in Gloucester it was on my list of places to find.
If you go there there are some toilets and a path running behind it - do not take this one as although it is a simple walk to the sea ( and a very long one if the tide is out ), i did discover that the path i should of taken was the upper main path that clear goes to the main point and then you drop down to the right hand side and not the left.
What i did find was lots of places around Sand Bay and Clevedon Rocks to fish which looked great. To be honest as accessible as Clevedon Pier is it feels like to much hassle to fish as it closes at 4.45pm.
If anyone can correct please let me know.
Cheers
