I have booked Doninator from Burnham for Thursday 22 Feb.
I have a few places left. The skipper is good and the boat is shiny.
Cost £50 - if you would like to join me send me a PM
All you need is a sandwich or two, all bait and boat rods supplied. If weather is bad we will shelter in the mouth of the river and still catch. If weather is good skipper steve will find somewhere further afield - last week Clacton which was good. |

There's no such thing as will catch, when it comes to fishing. |

Well if I was fishing with tiny baits i probably would, but i go with big baits for big fish, so it so much harder to catch. |

maybe you need 2 rods an uptider with big bait (pennel)? and a few size 2 hooks with tiny bait.
I have had very small fish on big bait |

Weather looking pants 15mph easterly, no good for fish or mankind. Wouldn't be to bad if it was in another direction. |

I think you'll find rocket's forecast is reasonably accurate (not that anybody is 100% accurate) - latest from met office is as below. You take the met office "slight" sea state with a pinch of salt in my experience - the smaller the boat, the less slight it will feel. You should be okay in a professional boat though, they're built for the job. Met Office inshore forcast can be found at http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/marine/inshore_forecast.html?area=All&type=All if you want an update.
Inshore waters forecast
24 hour forecast: 1800 Sat 17 Feb 1800 Sun 18 Feb
Wind Variable 3 or less, becoming northerly then veering easterly later 3 or 4, occasionally 5 in north.
Weather Mainly fair.
Visibility Moderate or good.
Sea state Slight occasionally moderate in north.
Outlook: 1800 Sun 18 Feb 1800 Mon 19 Feb
Wind East veering southeast 3 or 4.
Weather Showers.
Visibility Mainly good.
Sea state Slight or moderate. |

Blakdog- if only you could do that through the teamspeak- it would be better than the Radio 4 shipping forecast - all you'd need is Duncan or better still Mr Concrete to hum "Sailing By"before you read it.
Ps Mrix- I've sent an E-mail and PM for the password for teamspeak but havent received it- it could be me not sending the PM rpoperly. |

stuartdv, I've just been on there with Concrete and Screemin....according to Concrete my voice sounds like chip'n'dale on acid so I probably don't have much of a broadcasting career ahead of me.
itgotaway, don't want to put you off but I just noticed this for thursday,
UK Outlook for Thursday 22 Feb 2007 to Saturday 3 Mar 2007:
A rather unsettled and occasionally windy picture is expected to prevail for the most part, with spells of rain pushing east and north across the UK. Some of the rain will be heavy and persistent at times, more particularly in the west. There will also be interludes of brighter, showery weather. The east looks best placed to see any more lengthy drier spells.
It could completely change by thursday though 8) |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/#no_url 23MPH southerly, probably the worst wind direction you can have for the Crouch. |
