So its still on then? Maybe if you pay for your bait Edgey by phone, someone will pick up for you, save on the detour??

Thanks for that Soleman but in the big scheme of things it only adds 10 minutes to my journey, but if anyone else wants me to get theirs as well on my way past, I am happy to do so;

The white rag is expensive, £8.00 for 50, the 200 blow-lug comes in at £27.00 and the squid and mackerel about a £5er, I think; black lug if fresh will also be expensive and I have probably over-ordered, so you are welcome to some of mine. Let me know or indeed Baits Direct know what what you want and I can either pay for it when I get mine and you re-imburse me when we meet or pay for it over the phone and I will collect it.

Probably easier if you order it, let me know what you have asked for and I will pay for it and you can re-imburse me accordingly, in case they can't supply what you want.

They are neither as far as I am aware any cheaper or more expensive than any other bait shop, but the quality of baits I have recieved in the past from them by next day guaranteed post, has been excellent. Only problem was postage was more expensive than the bait! But according to my sat nav, Hampshire to Orford is 2 hours 50 minutes and going via Southend Bait shop is 3 hours, so it seems to me to be a bit of a no brainer to swing by and collect it.

I am also in process of ordering a Beach Buddy from Veals, won't order it till I get back to the UK on 28th Feb. Anyone have any suggestions as to the best type to buy? You are welcome to share it with me if you want, in return perhaps you could help me carry some kit, say a folding chair or the buddy, as we have a 300 yard hike once we hit the beach and I can only just now walk 300 yards on good ground. I am practicing every day, now doing two walks of 300 yards each day, they leave me knackered and my ankle the size of an elephant's, as I was in a cast for four months and on crutches for nearly five, but now am walking unaided, but it is getting better finally.

Hi Henry - glad you getting there slowly

If I could take you up on your offer please?
50 Whites, 100 Blow, pack of squid & mackeral , I will pay you the cash on site.

As for a tent

I am taking a 2 man tent with me (proper mountain jobbie) with 2 sleepsing bags, carry mats etc

As your leg is still possibly dodgy, you can share mine if you wish, and I will do the lugging of it.
